The annual conference of the Lccsuio* tive Engine Drivers of New Zealand opened this morning, Mr. J; Henderson presiding. The Mayor extended a welcome to delegates. The president said the executive did not agree on the whole with the Federation of Labour's manifesto, but thought they should strive to bring the war to a conclusion as soon as possible, and uphold the integrity of the British Empire.
