An engagement is announced between Mr. Burton B. M. Taplin, District Commissioner at Cape Coast Castle, Gold Coast Colony, youngest son of the late Mr. S. J. Taplin and Mrs. Taplin, of Wellington (N.Z.), and Miss Jean Alice Miller, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Miller, Dyers Brae, St. Andrews, states the "British Australasian." The marriage of Lieutenant Trevor Lewis, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, second son of Sir Henry and Lady Lewis, of Bangor, Wales, to Miss Carmina O'Neill, younger daughter of Dr. O'Neill, of Auckland (N.Z.), was celebrated at St. Margaret's, Westminster, London, on December 21, states the ' British Australasian" of December 30.
