PETONE TECHNICAL SCHOOL
MEETING OF' THE BOARD. A meeting of the Potono Technical School Board was held last evening, there being present: Messrs. J. Castle (chairman), Cunliffe, Cox, Coles, Burridge, Mold-rum, Welch, Hobbs, and M'Kenzie. The Lower Hutt branoh desired' to vote the payment of tho sum of five guineas to the director (Mr. J. Lynskey) for valuable" services, and asked the board's sanction in tnis respect. The request was agreed to. The Petone Borough Council called attention to the dilapidated state of tho fenco 011 a section in Beach Street, alleged, to bo tho property of tho board, and requested that the matter should receive consideration. Tho chairman explained that the section had been purchased many years ago,,by public subscription, as a site for a Boys' Institute. Three trustees had been appointed, but tho section had not yet been transferred to the board, although two of the trustees had agreed to this coursc being taken in 1910. Members thought that the time had arrived when the matter should be definitely settled, and it was resolved to ask the other trustee to sign the transfer.
