"North of Bojan, tho Russians exploded a mine under the enemy's wire entanglements and trendies, afterwards capturing the crater, and tho trenches. Many German dead were counted." February 9, 1.5 a.m.) Petrograd, February 8, The fighting in BuUmvina is expected to recommence shortly. The Austrian positions at Czernowitz have been strengthened- with electric wires, and provided' with many asphyxiating bombs. Tho recent fighting was most desperate and sanguinary in character, tho Russians being almost sickened with their bayonet 'vork. The enemy held out until his losses exceeded one-third of those engaged.
