The Germans are massing troops at certain points, and perfecting their organisation. At the same time come various rumours and.reports of a projected attack by the Turks on Egypt and the Suez Canal—an \ attack on a rgrand scale. Events are moving also 011 the Russian front, especially in Bukowina, where the fighting has been particularly terrible in its ferocity. Fighting is also reported from Albania, where the Serbs, and presumably the Italians (although these are not mentioned), have fallen back'; the Austrians at the same4ime have been driven off. The'German-American situation has suddenly eased up, and a settlement is much more probable than seemed likely yesterday.
