INTERNED ALIENS
IS THERE FAVOURITISM P ißy Telegraph.—Press Association.) , j Auckland, February 7. Replying to _ allegations re favouritism in connection with certain interned aliens, the Hon, J. Allen says: "It is true that Lieut. Flohr was adjutant at Tauherenikau Gamp for a time. . I stated in the House last session that he was not a German. I have to-day no reason to think he is a German. His case has been before the Aliens Board, and the board says he is not a man to be interned. He was in the British 1 . Army as an officer, but he is cot co- ! nig away with our forces. That is not on account of his nationality. "Ijangglith was a territorial officer, but lie has not been accepted, and J will not be; accepted, as an officer in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. "The statement that wealthy Germans'have been allowed to go away is entirely tintrue. Certain German officials who were sent from Samoa to Somes Island wpre.returned to Motuihi, because the climate there was more suitable for them." ' I
