MAGISTRATE'S COURT
e Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M., presided at Saturday's sitting of the ' Magistrate's Court. Kathleen Van Cant was remanded till to-morrow on a charge of the thoft of a tin trunk, clothing, watch, and three sovereigns, of the total value of £14 10s., belonging to one Mcny. "Win. Crilly and Edward Bloomficld wore each convicted of drunkenness, and were discharged. Tlios. Elliott was remanded till February 11 for unlawfully assaulting Harry Slade, thereby causing liitn bodily harm. * Edward Egan was remanded to appear at Invercargill on February 10 respirting an application for an affiliation order.
