BECOMING' "FAR TOO COMMON." (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) W'anganui, February 5. : "Thieving amongst boys is far too common," said Mr. W. Kerr, S.M., at the Juvenile Court this morning, at the conclusion of'a case in which four boys, aged from 9 to 13 years respectively, .were charged with petty thieving. "It is a scandalous tiling," he continued, "that so many young persons should be given to thieving to tho extent it has grown to in Wanganui. ' It is really alarming." His Worship urged parents to give more attention to tho bringing up of their children. The boys in question were ordered four strokes of the birch.
