The War Office states that Major-Gen-eral Dobell, telegraphing from - West Africa on February 1, reports that Colonel Haywood's column occupied Daing 011 January 25 with slight loss, after defeating the enemy. The column fought another engagement two days later, arid occupied Nyan. The column is in touch with the French troops at Ambam. Another British column, under Colonel Coles, occupied Lolodorf on January 28. Large enemy convoys continue to pass into Muni, in Spanish Guinea.
