SUMMARY AND FORECAST Present indications are for variable winds, strong to gale, generally, with west to south-westerly' prevailing northward of New Plymouth and Castlepoint, and east to south-easterly elsewhere. Eipect dull misty weather, with general heavy rain. Barometer rising everywhere shortly.A cyclonic disturbance is at present centred off Cape Kgmont. Northerly and westerly gales have, prevailed in the northern districts, and strong and variable winds clsowhere.
