RED CROSS CONFERENCE
TO BE HELD IN CHRISTCHUBOH.,
His Excellency the Governor has-con-vened a confer'enoe'of representatives.of tlie different bodies and bands of people who have been working in the interests ■of' the Red Cross and St. John Ambulance Association throughout New Zealand. At Home these two societies are working together, and in the Dominion the work has been so closely'allied that they have been thrown together, and in most places have been associated.'.: Tho conference is to be held in Christchurch on February 23, and Wellington on that occasion will bo represented : by Mrs, J. P. Luke, Messrs! C. P. Powles, and William Allan. Mr. W. H. Moorhouse, of- Wellington, is also likely to take part in the conference in an executive capacity. The main object of the conference-will bo organisation—to organise the Bed Cross and St. John Ambulance work throughout Neiv Zealand in such a manner that there will be. q, minimum of overlapping and maximum effort. .. :
