Hospital Cardens. The stretch of rooky ground between the Trentllam Camp Hospital and the roadway is to be beautified. The Tailway crosses it, curving out to the main Hue, and on each side of it a line of wire fencing has been erected. The hospital grounds are thus enclosed, while beyond the railway the area lias been fenced off with two enclosures. In all these spaces shrubs and gardens ale to be laid out. Alfeady some beds for plants havo been dug in the hospital grounds, and when the scheme is complete the convalescents who sun themselves on the verandahs will look out on a pleasant prospect of flowers, and lawns. In the wards there is rarely a dearth of flowers, the people of Trentllam, Heretaunga, and Upper Hutt -bending many gifts of this kind; one lady in particular calls every day with bunches of blooms, which are much appreciated by the sick soldiers. Hot Weather Conditions. "You might mentio'n," said a soldier from the, south, "that the boys from the Bluff are bearing up well in the heat." The fact that all ranks are weathering the heat wave is apparent to any visitor to the camp; No relaxing of training has been made, and though the men came in from the parade ground bathed in perspiration, they all look woll. In addition to the physical and company drill, the training in trench fighting is carried out every day and the men take the keenest interest in this latest addition to their syllabus. The trenohos, which are dug in the area near the hills and beyond the artillery grounds, are beinjj constantly enlarged, and form an interesting item for inspejotiou- by. Sunday, visitors to . the camp. .
