RESULT OF ART UNION By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Hobart, January 31. _ The lottery in connection with the Southland Queen Carnival was drawn to-day. After innumerable difficulties had been overcome, the Tasmanian Government granted Tattersall permission for the drawing, whidh toolc place m tho prosence of Government, Press, and police officials. 'file number of tickets sold was 208,149, which realised £26,018. Mr. C. H. Hughes (secretary of the Union Steam Ship Company, Dunedin), drew the prizes on behalf of the subscribers. Result:— No. 285,373, first prize (brick bungalow, valued at £100(1). No. 6653, second prize (brick bungalow, valued at £850). N T o. 159,380, third prize (bungalow, valued at £650). No. 222,962, fourth' prize (dwelling, valued at £500). No. 17,204, fifth prize (motor-car, valued at £400). _ N0.'369,366, sixth prize (five-acre section, valued at £350). No. 300,578, seventh prize (motor-cai, valued at £325). No. 66,062, eighth prize (nugget of gold, valued at £300). No. 292,659, ninth prize (motor-car, valued at £200).
