HUTT RIVER BOARD
The monthly meeting of'the' Eutt River Board was held last evening; there boing present Messrs. H. Baldwin (chairman), W. Knight, and 11. Welch. The overseer (Mr. F. Kershaw) reported that the. groyne at Haywards had been completed at a cost of £71 Bs. 7d. At Calcinai's, a.'groyne 117 ft. in length was completed, at a cost of £67 6s. 6d. Two Oft. extensions to the lower groyne at Calcinai's had been added,'costing £33 19s. 6d. All noxious weeds had been cleared fi'om the and from land enclosed by tho board's protective ■works. ; The report directed attention to the fact that several drays were continually trespassing cn the board's property, and the offenders took no -notice when warned.
