The New .'Zealand Poultry Industries Ltd.,, report as follows: —"The supply of eggs is by no means equal to the demand, and, the wholesale price is advanced by Id'., to Is. Bd. per dozen as front to-day.' " Excellent crops of rape and lucerne are, says our Mastertou correspondent, at present growing i" the Whanama Valley, which a.' few years ago' was a sivamp. . . The "Daily Times" says that about 15,000 sheep and lambs have been railed an;a t v from Mastertpn during .the past month. Ah Edendale ■ farmer, who has, seen that district for'himself, assures the Wyridham "Farmer" .that the oat harvest; this year will be fully 20 busliels to. the acre higher than was the case last season. i This is proving a first-class season for Southland apiarists (says the "Wyndham Farmer"). The honey gleaners arc at present very busy extracting nectar from ike hives. Some good cheques should materialise therefrom. And not before timo, : either, as the apiarist ill these latitudes has had more of his share of "lean" seasons of late years.
