CAPTURED GERMAN SHIPPING
"Fairplay," the shipping journal, has published a revised list of Germany's shipping losses in the war since tho Italian Government decided to seizo tho whole of the German vessels in Italian ports, aud to use them for their own purposes. The Hamburg-American Line is most seriously affected by the decision of Italy, as it loses nine of its steamers of 56,271 tons, the Norddeutscher Lloyd losing 30,000 tons. The following figures show that the four principal German shipping companies have lost 105 captured vessels, of a total tonnage of -542,583: — HAMBURG-AMERICAN LINE. No. of Tons Vessels. Gross.
