ACCIDENT ENDS FATALLY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, January 28. Percival Henry Williams died at tho Hospital as tho result of injuries sustained while working in the hold of tho steamer- Tarawera. A heavy cask rolled against a large case, and AVilliame's leg was caught between them and severely crushed.
YOUNC! SAILOR DROWNED,
Tauranga, January 28. Sydney Plunkett, a you 111 of eighteen, a member of the crew of the barquentine Lindstol, of Sydney, was drowned in the harbour this morning. He went for a bathe, and got out of his depth. Unable to swim, lie calltd for help. A. beat from the vessel was within seven yards of Plunkett when ho disappeared. Tho body has not yet boon recovered. Plunkett's mother resides in Sydney.
