CHILDREN'S CERTIFICATES. Mr. T. Shields, tlie well-known swiming enthusiast, was in attendance at Te Aro Baths on Wednesday afternoon, when a very large number of, children—both boys and girls—were present to take advantage of his tuition.' Mr. Shields has devoted several afternoons this season to teaching the young idea to swim, and it is his intention to be in attendance at the baths every Wednesday afternoon for that purpose until the close of tho season. Certificates will be awarded the following school children for having swum the various distances given in parentheses after tlieir names.
