WHO SANK THE PERSIA?
TURKEY TO BE ASKED THE QUESTION. By Telegraph—Press Association—CopyriEht Washington, January 25. The State Department, learning that Berlin and Vienna have denied that a German or Austrian submarine sank the Persia, intend to ask Turkey if sho was responsible. If Turkey admits her responsibility a Note -will be sent to her. [Berlin and Vienna were recently re* ported to have stated that a Turkish submarine sank the Persia. Turkey had no submarines at all prior to tho outbreak of war, and any she has now are German or Austrian craft which have since been handed over.J
