His Excellency Monsignor Cerretti, who is visiting tho Dominion as delegate from the Pope, was tendered a publio reception and conversazione in the Art Gallery Hall to-night. Addresses of welcome were presented by the bishop and priests, and the laity, and the distinguished visitor replied with a neat speech of thanks to all who had helped to make the proceedings a success. 'His Excellency will leave on Wednesday for a two days' trip to Queenstown, leaving Dunedin for the north on Saturday.
