STATEMENT BY MR. MASSEY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, January 24. The Prime Minister (tke'ltight Hon. W. P. Massey) was asked, in tlie event of tlie British Military Compulsion Bill being passed, whether his attitude in regard to the securing of Reinforcements in the' Dominion would be affected. He replied: "Not a bit. My attitude is perfectly clear; it all depends on the supply of men. Up to the present the supply has been' sufficient to meet our obligations." Asked whether the adoption of compulsion by England was likely to modify the considered policy of the Cabinet, he said: "I am not in a position to express any opinion."
