FIRE IN AUCKLAND

THREE-STORY BUILDING GUTTED. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Auokland, January 21. A fire in Rutland Street oarly this morning completely gutted a threestory briolc building, owned by James Webster, contractor and builder. Mr. Webster occupied the ground floor, a local furniture firm had a small quantity of goods on the second floor, while the third floor was occupied by the Garrison Artillery Band and Auckland Mounted Rifles Band, which jointly lost their music and instruments, valued at £250, but partly insured. Mr. Webster's insurance on the building and contents of the first floor was £2500 in the Queensland Office.
