Minister by Major Lusk,' rice-president of the Farmers' Union. Mr. Massey states tliat ho has consulted the Overseas Shipping Committee, and that it_ has now been arranged for the Corintbic to tako 2000 more carcasses than was ini tended, also that the Tainui (which, had not been going to call at Auckland) would load 12,000 carcasses hero on or about January 28. It had been hoped,, ho adds, that tho Indrapura, shortly due at Auckland, would bo able to' load frozen meat simultaneously with her unloading operations, but this was not now possible. "This means," said Major Lusk, "that wo are to have space for 16,500 carcasses instead of 2500 carcasses, but even so we. aro getting much less than our share.
