-—: CONCLUSION OF CONFERENCE. ' By .Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, January 20. The C.E.M.S: annual confercuce concluded this evening. It was moved: "That the conference, recognising the urgent need of ceusorsliip of- picture plans, welcomes the assurance of the Minister of Internal' Avail's that legislation would be placed bejore Parliament at the next session, hajving in view'the establishment of a censorship board," and was carried unanimously. On the motion of Canon Mayne, it was resolved "that this conference of C.E.M.S. considers it to be in the highest interests of the people of New Zealand that every effort to combat the drink-evil by reducing the hours of sale in licensed houses and clubs be encouraged and supported by members of the society, and that with a view to this co-operation with' all bodies in sympathy with the' movement, he urged upon the various branches of the Dominion. The executive -elected was as follows: —The Rev. J. V. Brocklehurst (Hastings), Rev. H. Watson (Wellington), Hi 1 . E. C. Thomas (ltuckland), Mr. J. C. Adams (Christchurch), Mr. J. W. Henderson (Wellington), and Mr. W. Nash (Wellington). The Rev. J. D. Russell (Oamaru) was re-electcd general Dominion secretary, and Mr. J. W. Henderson treasurer. j
