UPPER HUTT COURT
At the Upper Hutt Court yesterday, before Messrs. J. Barton and P. Davis, J.P.'s, G- B. Styles, for allowing cattle to wander on a public road,, was fined 6s. and 7s. costs; Upon a! similar charge J. Williamson was fined 7s. 6d., with 7s. costs. In each case the alternative was fixed at 24 hours' imprisonment. . Judgment by default' was given in the following cases:—Wf H. Edwards v. P. H. Gosse, £10, costs 255. 6d.; same v. A. Lewis, £3 12s. 6d., costs lis.: H. V. Benge v. C. AA r eedon,' £7 35,, 9d., costs 125.; same v. R. AVhitemaii, £4 45., costs 10s.
