Id., costs £1 os. 6d. ' JUDGMENT SUMMONS. In the judgment summons case, Louisa Earp-Thomas v. Thomas P. Willason, the defendant was ordered to pay the amount owing (£4) by monthly instalments of 10s., tho first payment to be made on February 18 next. POSSESSION OF PIANO. Charles Begg and Co., Ltd., sued John A. Anderson to recover possession jot piano (value £85) and £52 12s. l'ld. Judgment was given for plaintiff for £35, and costs £5 I3s. 6d., the Magistrate directing that the piano should be returned by February 1, 191 G. BREACH OF AAV ARD. , Tho Inspector of Awards (W. Slaughter) proceeded against W. li. Lute, butcher, of AVillis Street, claiming a penalty of £10 lor breach of tho Hutc'hers' Award in connection with the payment of wages to an employee. Tho lacts were not in dispute, and tho dejendant, for whom Mr. M. Myers appeared, had now agreed to comply with tho letter ol : the award. A nominal penalty only was imposed, judgment being entered for the inspector for £1. POLICE CASES. Police oases were dealt with by Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M. A young woman, , named Ethel. lliehards, was charged' with being an idle and disorderly person, without sufficient lawful means of support. She pleaded guilty. According to the police statement, thoi young womaJi, who is only 17 years of age, could not be controlled by her step-father 'or her mother, and recently she had been keeping bad company. She was committed to Te Oranga Home at Christchurch for a period of 12 months. Thomas Crawford Morrison, a soldier, was fined 10s. for drunkenness, and ordered .to be handed over to tho military authorities. Joan Kelly, who had been arrested for drunkenness on January 10, was lined 205., and ordered to pay tho expenses connected with his curative treatment in gaol, in default to undergo t'jireo days' imprisonment. A iirst-offending inebriate, who had been ia hospital with a broken leg sijice, October "last, was convicted and discharged. JUVENILE COURT. Three boys appeared in tho Juvonilo Court yesterday. Two, aged 12 years and 9 years, were convicted and ordered t-o receive six strokes of the birch for throwing stones to damage- a tent, and tho tuird, aged 12 years, was convicted and ordered to receive six strokes of (lit birch for stealing a bicycle valued at £4.
