OARJ3O IN No. 2 HOLD DAMAGED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, January 18. The Dutch steamer Riouw arrived from New York tci-night with general cargo. On November 6, when the vessel was four days from Cape Town, a fire broke out in No. 2 hold; a wireless message was sent to the steamer City of Colombo, which stood by until the Riouw arrived at Cape Town. The fire was subdued_ at Cape Town after, some days, when it was found the damage was confined chiefly to Melbourne cargo. So far as is known no New Zealand cargo is. affected.
