Renter's agent at Rome says that it is stated in ecclesiastical circles that the Kaiser's operation on January 13 was successful, hut that a week must elapse before he is out of danger. A German wireless message quotes the "Berliner Tageblatt" as stating that the Kaiser is merely suffering from a' harmless boil, which does not prevent him walking out. January 17, 5.5 p.m.) London, January 16. ■ The Gorman Chancellor (Herr von Bethmann-Hollweg) has sent the following wireless message to America in reply to v a Press inquiry as to the health |of the Kaiser : "The Kaiser receives guests and gives audiences to Ministers and officers daily. He walks in tho palace gardens when the weather permits." THE LATEST: "COMPLETELY RE- ' COVERED." (Rec. January 17, 10.2b p.m.) . Amsterdam, January 17. A Berlin telegram states that the Kaiser has completely recovered. He lunched at Herr von Bethmann Hollweg's palace.
