GHOULISH WORK IN ARMENIA,
ANOTHER MASSACRE
By Telegraph—Pre6s Association—Copyright (Res. January 16, 5.5 p.m.) London, January 14. Viscount Bryce lias received the following message from a friend in Armenia. Writing from Elistan on January 10, lie says: "Refugees arriving from Musli state that as tho outcome of an amnesty, fifteen hundred Sassum Armenians, forced by famine and cold, surrendered to tho authorities at the end of November. By the order of the Governor of Mush, the men were massacred and the women and children drowned inftlie Euphrates." • The "Westminster Gazette" points out that this message, shows the destruction of the Armenian peasantry who fled to the mountains. "These people have led a peaceful and secluded life in the remote valleys."
