SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY

Ail enjoyable evening was spent at the Sailors' Friend Society last night when a programme was presented by Mr. Miller and party. A short story competition was entered into by thoso present. The attention of seamen to the enjoyable timo to be spent at the institute on Sun jays was drawn by the Miss&ner (Mr. Mooro). At the closs a hearty vote of thanks to tho performers was carried. Items were contributed by Miss Miller, Messrs. Miller, Boyd, Berridge, Edmonds, Goudie, Wood, and Master Keith Thomson. Miss Caddick and Mr. Miller presided at the piano.
