CABINET'S DECISION ON WAGES QUESTION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright • London, January 12. Cabinet announces that it has earnestly considered tli'o financial position, and tlio imperative need for. economy. Having regard t-o the general advances in wages sinco the war began, and the measures taken to limit profits, the Government concludes that any further advances in wages, other than advar-cos following automatically from existing agreements, should bo, strictly confined to the adjustment of local conditions, where such adjustments are proved necessary.
