BORDER LEICESTERS FOR N.Z.
; -An excellent lot of Border-Leicester sheep has been shipped to New Zealand (says the "Live Stock Journal" of December 3). All of them have been selected by Mr. Jas. Dunlop. Thero are six shearling rams and eight gimmers. Several of tliem were for the New Zealand Government, others being for.- private breeders. At tho head of Iho rams was No. 5 of Mr. D. P. Elliot's draft at Kelso, a-sheep with a beautiful white head, a first-class coat, and a very good cover of wool. Ho was got by His Royal Highness, out of a Proud Ideal ewe, and cost £75.
