Lamb.—The market is iirm, and prices continue to advance. Canterbury two's nnd four's, 72d.; second-grade, 7tid. Other than Canterbury not quoted. Beef.—New Zealand cow beef: Hinds, Bid.; fores, 5Jd.; chilled hinds, 9Jd.; fores, 6 3-Bd. Butter.—The 'market is firm, with an increasing demand. Prices for salted have recovered 4s. to 65.: and owing to French export prohibition the market has advanced for unsalted 6s. to Bs. during this week. Hemp.—Manila: Tho market hes advanced again, largely on account of freight difficulty, and prices for New Zealand are firmer in sympathy. Inquiry chiefly for early shipment. Manila, new-graded fair, £50; New Zealand, good fair, £40 10s.; fair, £38 lte. for February to April shipment. Tow: The market is very firm. Business has been done at first grade ££3 10s., sccond grade £22 10s., third grade unobtainable. The output from Manila for the week was 22,000 bales. Wheat—Tho market remains iirm; a good demand continues. Canadian, on spot, per quarter, 645.; January to March shipment, 625. 6d.; Australian,, January to March shipment, steamer, 645. 6d.; sailer, 625. 6d. Oats.—The market is quiet but firm. The wheat and Hour afloat for the United Kingdom totals 2,005.000 quarters, for the Continent 2,595,000. Atlantic shipments include 1,034,000 quarters, Pacific 22.C00 quarters.
