GERMAN CROP RETURNS
BIG DECREASE IN THE SUPPLY i ; OF.BIVEADSTUFFS. The U.S.A. Consul-General in Berlin, reporting to Washington in November, says:— Sinoe in normal years the German' Empire does not produce enough breadstuffs and cattle food to supply its requirements, much interest lias been manifested in grain conditions. Tlio following table, taken from official statistics which have recently been published, shows the total crop production of 1914, compared with, that of 1913: a 1913. , 1914. The potato crop was conserved, find utilised by careful legislation.
