Berlin, January 5. An Austro-Hungarian communique states: The Russian attack along the Galician-Bukowmian front failed. The Austrian lines are unbroken. FURTHER RUSSIAN SUCCESSES. NEAR CZERiJOWITZ. (Roc. January 6, 9.45 p.m.) Petrograd, January 6. A Russian communique says:—We nelzed further positions north-eastwards of Czernowitz. There were heavy enemy losses.
