Advices received last Avening stated that the New Zealand Shipping Company's Kaikoura, which left Wellington for London, on November 19, continued her journey from Teneriffe on December 31. The same company's Tongariro, eni route from Liverpool to Now Zealand \ports, cleared Cape Town on January 2. She is due here about February 7. BERWICK LAW AT ADELAIDE. According to a Press Association message, the New Zealand Shipping Company's chartered steamer Berwick Law has arrived at Adelaide from Montreal, via Cape Town. En route the vessel will call at Melbourne and Sydney, being due at Auckland towards the end of the month, and at Wellington a few day 6 later.

TVESTMEATH'S PROGRAMME. The F. and S. chartered steamer Westmeath Is at present at Gisborne taking in wool for Boston and New York. Napier will be visited before the vessel comes on to Wellington, where she .is due on December 11. Departure will be taken for the United Slates ports on December 13. ME&S-TABLE GOSSIP. -Mr. W. Augell, of the Seatoun Signal Station staff, has returned from holiday leave, and Mr. Blaekmore has left on leave. •■ • . Mr. J. Dudor, third officer of the Maheno, has come ashore on sick leave. Mr. A. Inverarity, who has been acting as chief engineer of the' Mapourika, hae rejoined tho Maori as second. Mr. A. Carson, second officer of tho Defender, having come ashore,- Mr. A. J. Holm has joined the vessel as second. Mr. W. J. Niebot, seventh 'engineer of the Maori, has come ashore for orders. Mr. W. H. Niebett, third officer of the Moana, has come ashore. Mr. L. S. Lane, assistant wireless operator, lias also signed off the .vessel. Mr. A. W. Smith, chief officer of the Awahou, hos signed off that vessel, and Mr. J, J. Smith, who. has been successful in passing his examinations, has joined the vessel as mate. Jtr. G. Dickey, third engineer- of the Maunganui, has been promoted to be second of tho Poherua.

On arrival from Lyttelton this morning the Moeraki will berth at the Queen's Wharf. She will be dispatched for Sydney at 5 p.m. , At 3 p.m., to-day, R.M.S. Moana wall leave for San Francisco, via way ports. She is due at her destination on January 26. The New Zealand Shipping Company's chartered steamer Limerick has arrived at Waitara in order to commence loading frozen proauco lor Homu. Wanganui will be the vessel's next port of. call, then Wellington.' . The C. and D. liner Nerchana, at present completing discharge of Loudon cargo at Wellington, will leave on Tueeday next to load at Tokomaru Bay. While, on the last voyage from Sydney to Auckland the officers of the Riverine, sighted a sailing vessel at 7 p.m. on January 1. This was probably the barque Lindetol, which left Ncwoaatle for Auckland on December 14. She may be expected at Auckland towards the end of this week. The Arahura arrived at Greymouth from Wellington, via way • ports, at 7.40 a.m. yesterday, and left on the return trip at 8 p.m. The vessel is due here early to-mor-row morning. Bound from London, the ■ Pakeha. is expected to leave Auckland on Saturday next for Wellington. She is due here on Monday, and will subsequently visit Lyttelton and Port Chalmers to complete discharge. Either to-day or to-morrow the Vacuum Oil Company's chartered steamer Baron Cawdor is oxpected to leave Auckland in continuation of her iourney from New. York, and she is due at Wellington about Sunday next. Subsequently southern ports will be visited. R.M.S. Ruahine, of the New Zealand Shipping Company's fleet, is at-- present discharging ' London cargo at Auckland. She is due hero on Sunday or Monday next. It is reported that the American echooner C. S. Holmos, 409 tons, left Port Gamble, U.S.A., on November 5 with lumber for New Plymouth. Bad weather on the West Ooa6t has interfered with coastal shipping at Patea. The Aorere has been forced to seek shelter at Wanganui. and other Patea traders have been similarly delayed.
