FIGHTING CONTINUES WITH TREMENDOUS ENERGY.
Petrograd, January 4. Official.—The enemy attacked near Chartorysk', also on the Upper Strypa, but was repulsed with heavy losses. Fighting north-east of Czernowitz continues with tremendous energy. , The Russian advance continues. The enemy losses are enormous. Sixteen officers and 766 unwounded men were captured.
