HORSES NEEDED AGAIN

FOR.; THE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE. For months past since the moimted troops with the Expeditionary Force have been serving in tho trenches of Gallipoli dismounted, the sending of reinforcements of horses _ from New Zealand lias been discontinued. Now that the troops have left Gallipoli, there is at ; least- a possibility that the Mounted Rifles regiments will be given horses again, and that the sending, forward of horses will be resumed. At any rate horses are again being purchased for the Defence Depaitment, and at least one of the ships shortly to go "trooping" is being fitted up with, accommodation for horses.
