: v New Yoa-rJs Eve was the occasion of a pleasant concert provided by Mr. F. A. Campbell aiid party. A conundrum competition was entered' into, and an, exhibition of club swinging by Miss Harrison was much appreciated. Seasonable hospitality was kindly provided by Miss J. M'lntyre. A hearty vote of thanks to the performers was tendered. : The following were the performers: —Mrs.- Field, Misses Jeffry, Harrison, Messrs. Campbell, Cooper, Rithie, Williams; pianists, Mrs. Field and Miss Staff. A watcli night service was held. On Neiv Year's Day an all-day picnic 'was'held at .the grounds of , the Countess of i Glasgow,where games, were entered into under 4116 guidance, of the missioned (Mr. Moore). In;-tho evening musical items were highly appreciated. Refreshments were provided, and the prizes won at the sports were presented. A. gramophone'kindly lent by Mr.Brookes, of the Bristol Piano Company, played various'/records. The performers were: Miss M. • Jones, Messrs. Jones. Rithie, Hutchings, Williams, and Shields. Miss Jones was at the piano. Tlie prize-winners were: Messrs. Marchant-, Smith, Segal, Joiinise. Archer. George, Harris, Foulis, Shields, and Wood. .': ■ ; . V ~ / . • ■
