MARAETAI ESTATE
Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Limited, the sole agents for the Maraetai Farms Limited for the Wellington and Auckland provinces, draw the attention of land seekers to their advertisement on page 10 of this issue. The firm report very satisfactory sales of sections of this estate. Nearly 10,000 jicres have been disposed of and a very large area is now under crop and a splendid demonstration of tliß capabilities of the land. Building is going on apace, an up-to-date State school las been erected, whilst to meet the increasing demand for storage the Railway Company are making extensive additions to the railway goods shed. A number of the township sections have been sold, and on one of these there is now being erected a general store. The eoil is stated to bo almost immune to drought influences and to bo wonderfully well adapted for cropping. Oats, potatoes, turnips, rape, and mangels are all reported to do exceptionally well, whilst clovers, cocksfoot, Italian ryegrass and almost every kind of fruit grow to perfection.
