REVOLT IN CHINA
YUNNAN PROVINCE SECEDES A FAR-REACHING PLOT. Bt tfelejrapli—l Press. Association—Oopyrtsit (Rec. December 28, 7.15 p.m.) London, December 27. The "Daily Telegraph's" Peking correspondent reports that the internal situation is developing swiftly, though still • wrapped in mystery. Several Legations have received telegrams stating that the Yunnan Kjangsi Province has seceded, and is mustering troops under General Tsaiao, a Japanese trained officer, who attempted in 1911 to found a dynasty. _ The Yunnan plot is said to be farreaching, and has been carefully prepared, and is probably the reason why the monarchy movement was rushed on. Chinese commercial communities in America, Singapore,, and Southern Seas are subscribing towards the revolt. President Yuan-Shih-Kai's Government Is acting energetically. General Tsaokun, commanding tho third division which sacked Peking in 1912, is advancing by forced marches from Szechuan, in order to cut off Yunnan. - .
