— ♦— — ' RECEPTION THIS MORNING AT •TOWN HALL. Tho wounded soldiers who returned to ■ Port Chalmers by tho Tahiti were transhipped at that port'to tho Muunganui, which transport is due to arrive here at about' 7 o'clock this morning. The -Taranaki and Hawke's Bay men will depart.for their homes by the early morning trams, and the others will be accorded a civic reception at the.Town Hall, on the lines of similar functions held in the past. The men, who are to bo welcomed by the Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke), will disembark from the Maunganui at the King's Wharf at 10 a.m., and will be conveyed to the Town Hall by motor-cars, via Lambton Quay, Willis and Manners Streets. The Governor and tho Countess of Liverpool will be .present. The, Defence Department requests members of the Motor Reserve to attend at the King's Wharf with their cars at 10 a.m. sharp. ,
