The Hurunui, which loft Wellington for London, via Sydney, on October 12, arrived at her destination on December 20, Continuing her journey from Auckland to London, the Turakina, left Toneriffe on December 19. On December 30 the Shaw-Savill ciartered steamer Ocean Monarch will arrive at Timaru to commence loading for London. Bold, who was in charge of the Kamo, and who was wounded in the head in the Dardanelles campaign, has now quite recovered, and has lately been engaged in recruiting work in England. Captain M'Beth, formerly of the Mokoia, has retired from the Union Company's service, and will take up bis residence in Duneam. Jlr. J. M'Fadden, a returned wounded soldier, .lias Dc-en appointed assistant keeper at The Brothers, light, in place of Mr. Recs, who has enlisted. Captain Woods, of the Storm, having resigned from the Canterbury Company o service, Captain Braidwood, late chief officer of the Calm, lias been promoted to the Storm. She will Teturn here on Friday, and on the following Tuesday will sail for Astrolabe, prior to making her periodical visit to northern lights. The Mokoia will leave Lyttelton for Wellington this evening. After loading passengers and cargo she will sail for Melbourne, via Hobart, at noon to-morrow. On Wednesday next the C. and D. liner Nerehana is due at Auckland from London, via Sydney. A call will be wado a;t Napier coming down the coast, and Wellington should bn reached about January 5. , At an early hour oil Sunday morning the Corinthic arrived in the stream from Auckland, and subsequently berthed at the King's Wharf to continue discharge. _ Jier next port of call will be Lyttelton on Janu.al Friday ! s rain, interfered with discharge of the Werribce's cargo of paper, _and consequently the vessel's departure for Sydney has been postponed till to-morrow.
