The Japanese steamer Yasaka Maru, <! which was sunk without loss of lifo in, the Mediterranean, was torpedoed without warning on Tuesday afternoon, and sank in fifty minutes. A French gunboat picked up the passengers and crew at midnight and landed them , at Port Said. The passengers express great ad* J miration for the skill of the captain' and officers, and the discipline of the . crew. The disembarkation-was carried - ; out in the most perfect order and with ' : the greatest promptitude. ■ ■ There were 120 passengers, of whoij 81 are British, six Japanese, and on' 1 American. Tho crew numbers 260.
