The butter exported from Auckland ■'iincti the beginning of' the . season on July 1, including the Mamari's shipment, "noyr.'amounts 'to .272,160 boxes-of an approximate value 'of .£972,307. Of .this qieintity, 235,800 boxes 'have been shipped to London, and when this total is "compared with the figures for the correspond- . ing period last year, there is an increase ' of 43,000 boxes. / So far this season 'the largest sbippjent of butler, from Auckland has been lifted by the Rangatira,. which sailed on December 3 with 67,007 boxes, valued at approximately ,£212,041. ' ; .■ Consignments of' cheese, amounting to 8800 crates, to be made by the Mamari; will bring the total quantity for the sea.son to 17,094 crates. The Mamari's shipmail, represanting 668,0001b., valued at 7Jd. per lb., is worth ,£20,875. A considerable "carryover," especially ■ of cheese, will be taken by the Athonic, I sailing early in the Now Tear. This vessel will probably clear up the produce from,.this port for the first time since the season opened. Although the season is now passed the busiest period, the quantity of butter and cheese coming forward is being well maintained.

LIVE STOCK SALES ' The "New. Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report.—At Apiti on Tuesday wo had a fair entry of sheep, comprising several lines of wethers, which sold particularly well. A small entry of cattle made liito values. Sheep: Two-tooth wethers, medium, 17s. id. to 18s. l(ki.; two-tooth wethers (good), 20s. to 21s. 9d.; four-tooth wethers, 235. Cattle: Eighteen-months heifers, £3 325.; heifer in milk, £6; forward cows, £7 10s. to £7 lis. 6d.; light fat cows, £8 103. Pigs: IVcaners, Be. fid. to 155.; ttoree, 31s. to 345.
