Street receivers will not be cleared from midnight on Sunday' to midnight op Boxing Day, and correspondence should be posted at the Chief Post Office by 8 a.m., or at Te Ato, Wellington South, Wellington North, Co.urtenay Place, Mole.sworth Street, and Adelaide Road Post Offices by 7 a.m. on fionday (Boxing Day).

Mails for Fiji, Pago Pago, Samoa, Fan. ning Island, Honolulu, Japan, United States of America, Canada, Central America, West Indies, Mexico, States of Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, British, Dutch, and French Guiana, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe, closo at Auckland, per Niagara, on Tuesday, December 28, at 8 a.m.

As correspondence for all neutral countries is subject to censorship, it is urged in order to avoid delays that such correspondence be posted in ample time for the mail, the day previous to its dispatch if possible.

The advertised times for closing mail 6 by steamers are liable to alteration (earlier or later) at any moment. .

The parcel-post mail per Main Trunk express closes at the 1 G.P.O. at 11.30 a.m., and for the south, per ferry steamer, at 5.45 p.m. On Friday, the 24th inst., the Carriers' Department (entrance upstairs from Featherston Street) will be open for the delivery of correspondence, addressed to streets in the city and suburbs from 8 to 9 p.m.; also the public counter for the delivery of correspondence addressed to the Post Office will be open from 8 to 9 p;m. The parcels delivery counter will be open from 8 to 9 p.m.

On Saturday, the 25th December (Christmas Day), the Postal Department will bo closed in all its branches. Malls for dispatch by steamers will close at 8 p.m. .on the previous evening, and the only dispatches of correspondence by trains will close on Christmas Day as follow:—For the Walrarapa, Hawke's Bay, Mauawetu, Rangitikci,. Wanganui, and Taranaki districts at 5.45 a.m., and for Auckland and Auckland district at B a.m. The city and suburbs receivers will not be cleared during the day, but the midnight clearances will be made ae usual on. Sunday, the 26th December.

On Monday, tho 27th December {Boxing Bayl, Hie' Chief Post Office will be open in all lis branches (except Money-order and Savings-bank) from 9 to 10 a.m. Mails for Clspatch by steamers will close at 8 a.ra., and. the onljr dispatches of correspondence by trains will close as follow:—For Wairarapa. Hawke's Bay, Manawatn, Banfftikel, Wanganui, and Taranaki districts, at 5.45 a.m.; for Auckland and Auckland district at 8 a.m. There will be one delivery of correspondence by letter-carriers in the city and suburbs, which will close at the Chief Post Office at 7 a.m. Tho street Tcccivcrs will not be cleared during the' day; midnight clearances will be made as usual.'
