At Tronlham the following temporary appointments have been made:— ■ Headquarters Staff (Records Office). —-Pte. A. Bloch to bo corporal. A.S.C., Supply Depot Establish-ment.—Lce.-Corpl. F. J. Stanley to be corporal. " The .Engineers. The Australasian Institute of Marine Bnginers is entertaining the president and other members who have joined the forces at a social evening in their rooms, Aitken; Street, on December 30, it. 8 o'clock, and extend an invitation to any members at present, in camp to attend.
Tauherenikau Camp. At Tauheremkau 1 the following temporary appointments have been made: — Pte. 6. Reay, B Sqdn., 11th, to be farrier corporal; Pte. A. M'Garvey, B Sqdn.; llth, to be farrier corporal; Pte. It. Connelly, B Sqdn., to be,lanc'e-cor-poral farrier. ■ . ■ SOLDIERS' ROOM The _ committee, and the many generous, friends of the Soldiers' Room have good reason to feel gratified at the increasingly large numbers of soldiers who .spend their spare (hours at tlic; room. Everything possible has been done, for their convenience and comfort. The hot and cold shower baths are particularly popular in these hot, windy days. Extra furniture, recently purchased, has also added to the comfort and appearance of Ishe room. Dccoratioils ; for ; .'Christinas, commence today, and altogether things at Sydney Street have a decidedly "Christmassy" look, especially in the larder.
