AERIAL ACTIVITY. FORTY-FOUR AIR COMBATS. (Rec. December 21, 9.35 p.m.) London, December 21. Sir Douglas Haig's dispatch states, that there was heavy artillery work on both sides at Ypres and St. Jean. "We shelled the enemy trenches at Zonneboke, Zandvoorde, and Shelnwelt. • "There was considerable enemy aerial activity- yesterday'. A French communique says: "Our heavy artillery northward of Gratreuil damaged the railway, and the trams were interrupted."
