On- ;this ' occasion ,be 'evidently slipped when;: going out';of.tTie window, holding .in his hand a 'revolver, which lie-used, .in shooting: at rats':;-The Coroner found that ; death was caused by shock and hemorrhage due .to a bullet Wound ill the head accidentally received. , The second inquiry, which was only partially heard, concerned ■ the' death! of Mrs. Marjory Mitchell, who died at tho Hospital on December 15, follow- : ing injuries sustained in a train aceP dent at Petone on December 11. Med- ■ ical evidence was heard, death being, ascribed by the Hospital surgeon to inflammation of tho brain due to concussion.
