SOLDIERS CHRISTMAS DINNER
: ; »■ £75; FROM WANGANUI. On Saturday, the Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke) received ,a telegram stating that a donation of £75 was being forwarded to the Soldiers' Christmas Dinner Fund from the Wanganui Patriotic Committee. Another telegram to tie Mayor from Mrs. Guinness, Mayoress of Timaru, stated that a donation of £5 and a box were being forwarded to ."Wellington from tlio ladies of Timaru.
